COMMUNITY FOOD BANK APPEAL - For Month of February

As most of you are aware, the Community Food Bank on Topsail Road had a terrible fire and everything was damaged. If you would like to help replenish what was lost, we are asking that members of the congregation bring along any non-perishable food items throughout the month of February.

Donations can be dropped off during Sunday service or during office hours, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 1 pm. Envelopes are also available in the pews if you would like to make a contribution OR you can donate online on this website. Be sure to indicate the donation is for the Community Food Bank Appeal.

Recipe Collection

Recipes from Our Congregation

This is it!  We've officially started our collection of recipes from members of our congregation. We want to share them with everybody so have decided to publish them on our website.  We have already posted a few and are expecting our collection to grow over the coming months. Keep checking in to see what's new. There's a convenient Table of Contents at the top of the page so you can browse through and easily choose which delicious recipe you'd like to try next.

Click here to see the Recipes from Our Congregation. Note: It can also be found under Life and Work in the main menu of the website.

How to submit your recipe

If you are a part of First United Church, we'd love to hear from you. Send us a recipe or two (or more) and we'll share them online. The recipe can be handwritten. It can be typewritten. It can be a picture. Just make sure we can read it easily.  Tell us your first and last name so we can include it when we publish the recipe. And if the recipe came from a cookbook, tell us the name of the cookbook so we can acknowledge credits.  Send the recipes and information by email (firstunited@nf.aibn.com) or drop it off at the church office or use the Recipe Form provided on this site.

Be sure to tell your friends about our new project!

We have a mail slot if ever you need to drop off mail or your favourite recipes. You'll find it to the right of the front door of the church. No worries about things being lost as the mail plots down into a locked box on the inside.
