On Sunday, May 26 2019, we welcome into the Body of Christ, through the Sacrament of Baptism:

        Thomas Michael Dyer, son of Tanya Osmond and Michael Dyer.

Thank you to the United Church Women for donating the Baptism Candles and the Canadian Bible Society for donating the Children’s Bibles.

Things are slowing down for the summer season and, as in previous years, we will be reverting to a Monthly Newsletter on our website commencing June 2nd until September 8th.

Building Fund Sunday

May 26th

The last Sunday of the month has been designated as Building Fund Sunday. If you would like to make a contribution, envelopes are available in the church pews or you can donate online. (Be sure to include a message that it is to be used toward the Building Fund).

REMINDERS

UCW/MEN’S CLUB: The UCW/Men’s Club are reminded of our visit to Ruby Manor Monday, May 27th at 7 pm for an evening of entertainment with the residents.

QUILTING GROUP: The Quilting Group will meet Monday night, Monday, May 27th at 7:30 pm in Trinity Hall.  Our June Meetings are scheduled for June 10th and 24th

BOOK CLUB: The next meeting of the Book Club will be May 29th at 7 pm in the Church Sanctuary. The book we are discussing is ‘Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine’ by Gail Honeyman. All are welcome.

Food Bank Sunday at First United Church - June 2nd:  The first Sunday of the month has been designated as Food Bank Sunday. Members of the congregation are asked to bring along any non-perishable food items and place them in the bin in the church vestibule. Envelopes are also available in the church pews if you would like to make a contribution. You can also visit their website, www.bridgestohope.ca, to make a donation online.

Our Recipe Collection is growing!

The goal is to reach 100 by the end of the summer!

Don't forget to send us your favourite recipe. We promise to get them online withing 48 hours.

Beverage Container Recycling

Reminder to Support SNAC

SNAC, our Youth Group, Collects Recyclables.  The Beverage Container Recycling is an ongoing project for SNAC. They use the proceeds to help fund their activities.

If you would like to drop off your beverage recycling at the church, here’s what can be recycled: aluminum can; plastic containers; glass bottles; steel cans; drink boxes (tetra); mini sips (drink pouches) etc. (Please wash out all bottles and remove all caps before dropping them off.)  Please note: we are requesting beverage containers only!
