Christmas is a very special season…a time when we come together with family and as a family to celebrate that gift in Bethlehem so long ago. This is a time to think of loved ones who are with us and those who live only in our hearts.

Our United Church Women (UCW) at First United Church will be holding a service of “CHRISTMAS LIGHT” on Sunday, December 1st at 7 pm. “CHRISTMAS LIGHT” will encircle our church sanctuary during the service.

In order to continue our efforts to help with the mission and ministry of our church, we are inviting our congregation and friends to make a special donation “In Memory of” or “In Celebration of” loved ones. An acknowledgement of your donation will be made during the service. We hope you feel this will be a rewarding way to support our church while paying tribute to loved ones.

If you wish to participate in this special Christmas service, please complete the attached form and return it, with your donation, to the church office by placing it in the collection plate or passing it along to a UCW member by November 17th, 2019.

Building Fund Sunday - October 27th: The last Sunday of the month has been designated as Building Fund Sunday. Envelopes are available in the church pews if you would like to make a contribution. Thank you for your continued support.

Food Bank Sunday at First United Church - November 3rd:  The first Sunday of the month has been designated as Food Bank Sunday. Members of the congregation are asked to bring along any non-perishable food items and place them in the bin in the church vestibule. Envelopes are also available in the church pews if you would like to make a contribution. You can also visit their website, www.bridgestohope.ca, to make a donation online.

Beverage Container Recycling

Reminder to Support SNAC

SNAC, our Youth Group, Collects Recyclables.  The Beverage Container Recycling is an ongoing project for SNAC. They use the proceeds to help fund their activities.

If you would like to drop off your beverage recycling at the church, here’s what can be recycled: aluminum can; plastic containers; glass bottles; steel cans; drink boxes (tetra); mini sips (drink pouches) etc. (Please wash out all bottles and remove all caps before dropping them off.)  Please note: we are requesting beverage containers only!

From SNAC to all those who participate - Thank you for your support!

We are delighted to share some of the photos with you.
