PANCAKE SUPPER: First United is having a pancake supper on February 17th from 5 to 7 pm. We will be serving pancakes, sausages, and bologna, dessert, tea and coffee. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets available at the door only! Hope you can all come out and support First United!
BIBLE STUDY: Rev. Karen Bursey is leading a Bible Study group on Tuesday afternoons at 2 pm in the Multipurpose Room. All are welcome.

FOOD BANK SUNDAY TODAY: The first Sunday of the month has been designated as Food Bank Sunday. Members of the congregation are asked to bring along any non-perishable food items and place them in the bin in the church vestibule. Envelopes are also available in the church foyer if you would like to make a contribution. Bridges to Hope thank you for your generosity and continued support.
MEN’S CLUB MEETING: Our next Men’s Club meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, February 9th in Trinity Hall at 5:30, supper at 6 pm. All men welcome!
NEXT UCW MEETING: The next meeting of our UCW is scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, February 9th at 12:30 in Trinity Hall. Please bring a bagged lunch, tea and coffee supplied. All ladies of the congregation are welcome!
GARDEN CAFÉ: Please join us in our Garden Café in the Multipurpose Room before 11 am Sunday service for a brew and a chat. All are welcome!
Our Youth Group collects beverage containers for recycling. If you would like to drop off your beverage recycling at the church, here’s what can be recycled: aluminum can; plastic containers; glass bottles; steel cans; drink boxes (tetra); mini sips (drink pouches) etc. (Please wash out all bottles and remove all caps before dropping them off.) The Youth Group thanks you for your support.
BUILDING FUND SUNDAY: The last Sunday of the month is designated as Building Fund Sunday. Envelopes are available on the table in foyer. if you would like to make a contribution. Thank you for your continued support.

In Our Faith Community
CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD GODLY PLAY: You are invited to join Church of the Good Shepherd on Saturday, February 21st, 10 am – Noon. The Godly Play story ‘The Faces of Easter’ will be shared with meditations following each part of the story, as well as periods of silence for reflection. The morning will conclude with a time of fellowship and refreshments. Everyone is welcome!
TOPSAIL UNITED CHURCH will be hosting a Valentine’s Lasagna Supper on Saturday, February 14th at 6.00 pm. Meal will consist of Lasagna, Garlic Bread, Caesar Salad, Dessert, Tea or Coffee, Cost $20 for Adults. Entertainment will be provided. BRIDGES TO HOPE JANUARY STATISTICS: In January, Bridges served a total of 1526 individuals, supporting 135 seniors, providing food assistance to 515, 116 anonymous visits. Sustaining this level of demand would not be possible without our supporters like you. Some most-needed items at the moment are canned pasta/meals, canned tuna/meats, peanut butter and jam.
ITEMS FOR BRIDGES TO HOPE: If you would like to pick up a few items to help out Bridges, please place donations in the bin in the foyer here at First United. The monthly item needed for February is 1 litre juice. Some weekly specials for the week of February 5th to 11th helpful for food hampers:
