IT’S TIME!!  TIME TO CREATE A NEW LOGO FOR FIRST UNITED CHURCH: The Board is looking for ideas for a new church logo. Our old logo seen here was mostly used for letterhead. If you can draw – draw one.  If you can’t draw, tell us in words what you are thinking and we’ll find someone to draw it.  If you use computer design tools, then use that too. Inspiration – think about the church’s Vision Statement which is on the front of the bulletin. What things do we do at church? We have so many groups – Men’s Club, UCW, Quilting, Book Club, Bible Study, Youth Group and more.  We support community events.  We are so much more than the building shown in the old logo. How can that be expressed with a picture and a few words?  Pick up a submission form in the vestibule and draw. write, create a computer drawing (Be sure that it is unique, we cannot use someone else’s logo.)  All submissions need to be to the church office by April 15th.  Have Fun!

BOLOGNA AND BEAN LUNCHEON APRIL 26TH: We will be having a luncheon here at First United following our 11 am worship service on April 26th. Cost for luncheon is $10 per person. Look forward to seeing everyone!

“We respectfully acknowledge the territory in which we gather as the traditional territory of the Beothuk and Mi’kmaq.  We are conscious of the long and painful history of relations between the Christian church, colonial settlement practices and the harm caused to these lands and peoples.   May we always seek to live with respect on this land as we search for collective healing and true reconciliation and honour this beautiful land together.“
