WELCOME BACK BBQ: Our welcome back BBQ will be taking place after Sunday service today. Hope everyone can join us for hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, dessert, tea and coffee. ♥
RECIPES BOOKS: Have you picked up your recipe book yet? Our recipe books have been all assembled. Books just cost $15, large print books cost $20. If you do not need one for yourself, these make great gifts. All recipes have been submitted by members of our congregation. Some fantastic recipes in the book. A great keepsake! You can purchase after service today in the foyer or from the church office on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday from 10 am to 1 pm. Thanks to everyone for your support.
MEN’S CLUB MEETING: Our next Men’s Club meeting is scheduled for October 5th in Trinity Hall at 5:30 pm, supper at 6 pm. All men welcome!

CAN PROJECT REMINDER: The deadline to bring in your cans is today. But we will still accept latecomer cans! Hope you have been able to put a few coins into your cans over the past summer months to help out Many thanks to those of you who have already returned your cans.
GARDEN CAFÉ! Our Garden Café has started-up again. Everyone is welcome to join us in the Garden Café for tea/coffee before church service from 10 -10:45 am.
Our Youth Group collects beverage containers for recycling. If you would like to drop off your beverage recycling at the church, here’s what can be recycled: aluminum can; plastic containers; glass bottles; steel cans; drink boxes (tetra); mini sips (drink pouches) etc. (Please wash out all bottles and remove all caps before dropping them off.) The Youth Group thanks you for your support.

COCHRANE STREET UNITED CHURCH: The congregation of Cochrane Street United Church warmly invite you to the decon- secrating service for their church today at 2 pm at Cochrane Street. Everyone is welcome to reflect on their legacy as they disband their congregation and deconsecrate their church. A Mission and Service offering will be collected and everyone is invited for coffee and tea after the service.

CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD JIGGS DINNER: Tuesday, September 29th. Tickets cost $25. Take-out meals are available at 4:30 pm and Dine-in will be served at 6 pm. COWAN HEIGHTS UNITED CHURCH will be having a fundraising concert on Friday, October 16th at 7 pm featuring DARRIN MARTIN, a well-known performer and musician singing tunes of Roy Orbison, Elvis, Elton John, Johnny Cash and many more. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased by calling their church office at 709-745-2871 or emailing them at office@cowanheights.ca
