CALLING ON RECIPES: Some of you may remember a few years back we had a recipe contest here at First United. Recipes were posted on our website. Unfortunately, the website had issues and the recipes were lost from the website. If any of you have been looking for the recipes, we have decided to put together a recipe book as a fundraiser, ready to purchase during the fall. Of note, we have been able to retrieve the original recipes submitted for the contest from our office files. Hopefully, they have all been retrieved. If anyone would like to resubmit their recipes, please do so. More importantly, if anyone has any new recipes they want to submit to be included in the recipe book, please submit to the church office before the end of July. You can email them in or drop off at the church office or leave in the dropbox. Please make sure to put your name on them. Thanks a bunch!!
FISH AND BREWIS SUPPER FUNDRAISER: Our supper takes place this Thursday, July 30th at 5:30 pm. Tickets cost $20. The fish has been caught and donated by members of our congregation. Tickets are still available at the church office during office hours this week and after church today.
Our Youth Group collects beverage containers for recycling. If you would like to drop off your beverage recycling at the church, here’s what can be recycled: aluminum can; plastic containers; glass bottles; steel cans; drink boxes (tetra); mini sips (drink pouches) etc. (Please wash out all bottles and remove all caps before dropping them off.) The Youth Group thanks you for your support.
RECYCLING DRIVE: The Church Board will be having a recycling drive here at First United tomorrow, Monday, July 27th from 8 am to 3 pm. There will be a trailer from the Mount Pearl recycling depot in the parking lot. You can drop off your bagged items to the trailer. Please donate to this event and spread the word to your family and friends. Items that can be accepted: aluminum cans; plastic beverage containers; glass bottles; steel cans; drink boxes (tetra); mini sips (drink pouches) etc. (Please wash out all bottles and remove all caps before dropping them off.) Thanks so much in advance.

Bulletin
“We respectfully acknowledge the territory in which we gather as the traditional territory of the Beothuk and Mi’kmaq. We are conscious of the long and painful history of relations between the Christian church, colonial settlement practices and the harm caused to these lands and peoples. May we always seek to live with respect on this land as we search for collective healing and true reconciliation and honour this beautiful land together.“
2026 WEEKLY BULLETIN DEDICATIONS: If you would like to dedicate a bulletin in 2026 in memory of a loved one or in celebration of a special event, please fill in your name and phone number on the sign-up sheet located on the bulletin board in the vestibule or call the church office at 368-2194.
